Argent – Argent (1970)

argent-front

This more like it – lovely stuff – more of a keyboard-driven pop-rock outing this one – sort of reminiscent of a more poppy early Deep Purple ….    some very very nice tracks sitting on here ..

Formed by Rod Argent after the Zombie split in 1968.  Well worth the quid I paid last year …   search it out if you can find it !!

  2. good to have a reason to spin some of these discs – and anyway – what else is there to do on a rainy Sunday ?

  3. Hold Your Head Up was a “classic rock” staple in the 80’s on WLVQ aka “Q-FM — Ohio’s Best Rock” outta Columbus.

  4. i think you’ll find that Hold Your Head Up was a staple the world over. i remember it well.

  5. Twas indeed a smash all over that one – this LP however is a much more subdued type of groove they have going on …
