Well – obviously I had to buy this slab of 12 inch plastic – due to the lady on the sleeve..  Something about the pose I suppose !!

But stuff the sleeve – this is a friggin disco-funk monster in danger of thrashing this entire house – demolishing walls – and making me clean forget about logic – and strut my aging body like there is no tommorah !!

Seriously – this a supa-find – a classic – previously unknown disco pisece of gold – and quite a rare one at that so I gather..

Bleedin classic !!

  1. Well – leaving a comment on my own post only to say that research leads me to this seems I have 5 of these on the shelves – so like minds are trawling the bins it would seem !!

Still seriously grooving to the awesome power of the Sarr Band – blasting stuff !!

  2. Hello

Do you have a copy of this record to sell?

    • Hi Mickey,

Sorry – only ever seen this one copy – and plan to use it when playing out – will bear you in mind should I later decide to off-load it though .

  3. off the top of my head: seem to recall some great flute solos in this…?
also: wasn’t the other other side “magic mandrake”? almost-as-good as “double action”

  4. Indeed both side are totally slamming !!

  5. hope you don’t mind this late addition, but have finally got hold of mp3’s of both “double action” and “magic mandrake” having heard neither for decades… and they are just as good if not better than i remember them! why did i ever forget about them in the first place if they were that good? thanks farmer for jogging my memory! i never had any idea who or what magic mandrake was (presumably this guy?), but i really love the sexy-voiced lady yearning for his attention!

one minor point: can anyone work out the chant line in “double action”? all i can hear is “double action and he-a dah-dee-dad-dee-me” – any help appreciated so i can sing along properly whilst i groove along, thanks
