The Beatles – Rubber Soul (mono PCM 1267)

I found this obscure, but above-average Northern English progressive folk/pop album at the Ashford Market this morning; it was only £1, not 23/6 as the “old money” sticker from Barnett’s Radio & Electrical Services of 66 High Street, Broadstairs on the back of the sleeve has it.
Apparently, the band is called Rubber Soul and I will be on the lookout for more of their work.

I don’t think this particular issue is worth that much; I believe it’s the XEX-579.1 (not XEX-579.5 as this is) version that gets the big money.

To paraphrase the National Rifle Association (NRA), “I will give up my records…when they pry them from my cold dead hands.” Having said that, I periodically prune the collection to sell (tho’ even that is usually for record re-ivestment purposes) or give back to charity shops.
