I like that. Why have I never thought of doing that on the inside door of my hi-fi cab?
What are those pictures going down the right hand side?
Those are “cards” included in various releases on Numero records. I think they might be images from their “Light: On the Southside” record.
Ah. I still haven’t got around to buying any of those Numero releases, I really should. Light On The South Side has been on my wish list for a long time now, but the price keeps putting me off.
I’m a big fan of those Numero releases. I was hooked from the get-go: their first release was of an obscure Columbus, Ohio soul label (see left). I recommend the Good God! series especially, but I’ve got a dozen or so and, apart from the Boddie 2Lp and the Recording Tap triple (which are merely really interesting), I think you can’t really go wrong with Numero. Cool web site too.
And don’t forget Jazzman here in the UK!
I do visit the website. I have Kool Blues on Capsoul picked up blind from a mail order soul list back in the 70s (when they were typewritten – imagine the effort involved – there rarely, if ever, appeared to be a typo either). http://darcysfeelit.blogspot.com/2007/02/moss-bros.html
I tried to comment on your Kool Blues page, but it kept saying I wasn’t typing in the correct (nonsense) words to “prove you’re not a robot”. Anyway, I was just going to say that I am impressed you still have the single in working order!
YesI’ve found those new word veris are fiendishly difficult to read!
hey cool! nice to see myself alongside lennon, hendrix and the mc5 – does this mean i’m one of your musical heroes? shucks i’m all embarrassed now..
Was wondering if you were going to notice that. 🙂
I’m not worthy.
